In the time that DDS LTD has been established the structure of how Telecom increase and maintain there network has changed considerably. Throughout these changes we have been able to remain a preferred contractor and retain a contract for certain areas to continue working their network.

 

Examples of previous/current Telecommunication Projects;

• Telecom Southern Cross Cable Network (from Takapuna to Kumeu Coast)

• Great South Road (Manukau) 4 Laning Project (6 km's of installing of 6 x 100mm ducts for future road widening, which       included all Hauling and Hauling out of new and old cables and fibres)

• Favona Road - Fibre installation (4 km's of combination of Directional drilling and open excavation for installation of 2 x     100mm ducts and 10 km's of Hauling of 48 fibre.

• Ellislie to Howick 120 fibre (35 km's of Hauling 120 fibre through existing ducts).​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

BOP Project

Pt Chev Job:

This job was for Auckland City, with Hawkins Construction. It was needed to arrest severe erosion.

Pipe size 600mil O.D. Grade 48%, which required the drill to be Elevated off the ground level, as we had very limited room for our set up. Drill Ditch Witch 2720 Mach 1 All Terrian.

 

Tauranga Job:

New Police Station in Monmouth St, this job was the main sewer outlet. Pipe 200mil. Grade 1.8%. Drill Ditch Witch 2720 J.T

Location of drill head, because of the steel we used Subsite 8500 series & a Grade Beacon.

D.D.S. Worked in conjunction with W.H.Kelly L.T.D.

 

Windermere Project:

Poike pump station rising main replacement.

Pipe size 315mil O.D. S.D.R 13.6. Pipe length 520metres. Drill Ditch Witch.

Location Equipment Subsite T.K.SERIES GUIDANCE SYSTEM.

This project was from the pump station on Windermere Dr across the estuary to a Manhole at Yatton Park.

 

Ohope Escarpment Drainage Project. Contract 07/20:

This project involved P.E. pipe from 110mil up to 630mil. Some of the drills where 30 metres deep.

Location equipment used Subsite,Beacon 86B.H.X.Which needed a Lithium c 3.9v 9 A.H. Battery.

Some of the drills where up to 75% in grade. One of the drills was from sea level and through rock up the
Escarpment to a Man Hole in Waiwere Place Overall length 250 metres.

Two Drills where used Ditch Witch 2720 A.T. to drill the rock, then a Ditch Witch 4020 to drill to the man hole ream and install the pipe.
